Review of Bullhead City, Arizona

39 years in Bullhead Only 90 from Las Vegas
Star Rating - 4/25/2023
My parents brought me to bullhead City when I was 10 years old. I am now 49 still living in bullhead City Arizona. That's 39 years. I've raised four children here and now have one grandchild here. First let's talk about the schools. My oldest son excelled so much in school he completed college English 101 with a B when he was 11 years old. My oldest daughter excelled so much in school she skipped 8th grade. The other two both had straight A's. All going to public school. Some people bag on the schools here but first need to take a look at their parenting skills. I always added extra workbooks for their grade level for math and English since first grade. When they would finish their extra couple of workbooks for their grade level I would move them up to the next grade level. Next let's talk about traffic I've been in real estate for 17 years I average about 50 miles a day driving around this town and the traffic during rush hour takes me 20 minutes to get across the entire city. As far as things to do there's community theater plays, musicals there's high school plays and musicals there's football games their soccer matches tons of soccer and more soccer I personally don't like soccer haha. There's name brand concerts coming to town in Laughlin across the river throughout year. They've built top of the line softball fields that hold tournaments for many California cities multiple times throughout the year. That should tell you something that people from California are coming here to do their tournaments. There's a river and a lake which are free to access if you know where to look and you're a local. Gas prices are $1.50 cheaper per gallon than Phoenix and Las Vegas. Yes the summer suck for heat if you're not used to it on the other hand a lot of homeless people leave the area because of that. We are an hour and a half from Las Vegas with a very simple split Lane ride just make sure you do 25 miles an hour through searchlight! Out of 39 years I've never been mugged I've never encountered a meth head trying to hurt me. I don't see tent cities on the street we don't have stores leaving our city because of rampant shoplifting. There's no protest that light buildings on fire and cause billions of dollars of damage. And currently 2023 you can find a newly renovated three bedroom two bath house in a homes only neighborhood with no bars on the window on a golf course for $1,500 a month, well that's in fort Mohave the town about six miles from bullhead. I should know I do property Management. Jobs yes there's tons of jobs. If you're not lazy and don't have a bad job history you can find good jobs. I love it when people complain about bullhead City after they leave a crime infested, homeless infested overpriced third world country of a city.
